DOE Awards $7 Million for Bioimaging Research and Approaches for the Bioeconomy and the Environment
August 2024
Fundamental research to enhance resolution, speed, stability, sensitivity, or chemical specificity of bioimaging and sensing technologies
DOE Bioimaging Research and Approaches for the Bioeconomy and the Environment funding supports fundamental research to enhance resolution, speed, stability, sensitivity, or chemical specificity of bioimaging and sensing technologies. Quantum-enabled research is included. Two subtopics are supported: novel research concepts proceeding through technical validation; and innovative experimental prototype research proceeding through hypothesis-driven biological experimentation. All applications will advance biological knowledge of plant and microbial systems for a bioeconomy.
